As Hurricane Michael is approaching the Florida panhandle, in addition to the MARACOOS Storm Resource Center we are posting some web links where you can download real-time ocean and atmospheric data from our partners in the Gulf of Mexico (GCOOS) and along the South East coast (SECOORA) of the U.S.
While the majority of impacts from Hurricane Michael are expected for the southern states, some impacts will be felt in the Mid-Atlantic states, and heavy rains and tropical storm force winds are forecasted for the Carolinas and eastern Virginia. Please stay up to date with National Hurricane Center as warnings and forecasts continue to evolve.
For all of you science lovers out there take a look at the Rutgers Coastal Ocean Observation Lab blog for information and analysis.
