The MetOcean Data link (MODL) project brings together the data systems used by NERACOOS, MARACOOS, and the IOOS GliderDAC into a shared, modern framework. By creating a common cyberinfrastructure, we are making it easier to collect, process, and share ocean and weather data. Data providers—both public and private—will have a clear, standards-based system to deliver their information efficiently and effectively. And users of this data will enjoy easier access to a growing collection of ocean observations through familiar tools and services.
